Dog Training FAQ
Dog Training FAQ’s
Where are you located?
For your convenience, I’ll travel to your home for any of Maple Leaf Dog Training’s in-home training programs. The location of the group training course is to be determined, but keep an eye on the Practical Pet Protocol page to stay updated.
I don’t live in Toronto. Will you still train my dog?
I serve Toronto and its surrounding areas. On average, I’ll travel about forty-five minutes to meet with clients. If you’re not sure whether you would be in my service area, give me a call and I’ll be happy to check.
What are your qualifications?
I have been certified through the Canine Trade Group School for Canine Professionals. The class was taught by John Van Olden, a dog training veteran with over two decades of experience. Before we graduated, we had to prove ourselves through bookwork as well as practicum, where I handle and train dogs with a variety of behavioral problems.
Do you train service dogs?
While our in-home training program covers much of the training that will be expected for service dogs to pass the test, we do not specifically train service dogs or offer certification.
Do you train attack dogs?
Will you train pit bulls, Rottweilers, etc.?
Absolutely. I don’t believe in breed bias. If your dog is exhibiting aggressive tendencies, the problem is the behavior, not genetics. I am confident in my ability to train dogs, no matter their breed, age, size, or temperament.
If you have any questions that haven’t been answered here, or if you’re interested in one of Maple Leaf Dog Training’s programs, give me a call at 800.649.7297 or send an e-mail my way.
